    Notarial translation

    Translation of documents is by far the most popular service in the market of translation services. This is due to the fact that more and more people decide to take advantage of their opportunity to travel abroad, study or work there, as well as immigrate. In this case, often there is a need to submit personal documents to foreign consulates, bodies that require their notarized translation.

    A notarized translation is a translation of a document made by a qualified translator and certified by a notary. Thus, the translation of a document becomes legal in the country in which it was certified. In order for it to be valid also abroad, it must be legalized by consular legalization or affixing the stamp “apostille”.

    A properly executed notarized translation must be filed with one of the following types of documents:

    • original document;
    • copy of the document;
    • notarized copy of the document.

    Depending on the type of certification, the notary certifies the authenticity of the translator’s signature and a copy of the document, or only the authenticity of the translator’s signature. The notary does not confirm the content of the document or the correctness of the translation.

    A translator of documents must have a diploma that confirms his qualifications. He must be provided with him and be present in person at the notary’s office during the certification of the translation of the document. The original of the document to be certified must also be provided.

    The certification inscription is placed on the last page of the translation and must include the following information:

    • when and where was the translation certified;
    • surname, name and patronymic of the notary;
    • surname, name and patronymic of the translator;
    • languages of the original document and translation;
    • registry number;
    • number of stitched sheets;
    • translator’s signature;
    • signature and stamp of a notary.

    We offer notarized translation of:

    • documents proving the person’s identity (passport, driver’s license, pension certificate, etc.);
    • certificates (of birth, marriage, divorce, etc.);
    • education documents (certificate and appendix to the certificate, timesheet, diploma and diploma supplement, gradebook, transcript of academic performance, certificate, reference from the place of study);
    • labor documents (certificates of employment, certificate of salary, book, employment record book, etc.);
    • bank documents (receipts, statements of account status, statements of cash flows, etc.);
    • notarial documents (powers of attorney, permission to leave the child abroad, applications for marital status, etc.);
    • court documents and others.

    In addition to the written notarized translation, there is also an oral (consecutive) notarized translation. As part of this service, the translator assists verbally in the execution of a certain notarial act, after which the notary certifies his signature on the document. This type of translation is convenient and necessary when concluding contracts or when signing any documents when one of the parties does not speak the language in which these documents are written.

    IMPORTANT! In order to avoid discrepancies, the person contacting the bureau must know the correct spelling of his last name and first name (sometimes also middle name) in English or another language of translation. Employees of the translation bureau have the right to clarify this issue or ask for a passport (copy/photo). Names and surnames in any translations must correspond to those indicated in this document. If the client does not have a foreign passport and his last name and patronymic have not been translated in the documents earlier, they will be translated in accordance with generally accepted transliteration rules.
